Investment Committee

The Investment Committee is a special committee and has no set term. The committee will stay active until the Board of Directors accepts a “Final Report of the Investment Committee.”

Responsibilities include:

  • Report status of committee activities at all scheduled meetings of the Board of Directors.
  • Provide written materials for publication related to the activities of the committee as requested by the Executive Director or the President.
  • Recommend policy to the Board of Directors for the purposes of managing investment risk and to optimize investment returns within acceptable risk parameters. The recommended policy should include:
    • Procedures to be used to determine the dollar amounts to be designated as operating funds, short-term reserve funds (if any) , and long-term reserve funds (if any).
    • Investment objectives and guidelines for each of the funds above.
    • Direct responsibilities of the Finance Committee, Executive Committee, Officers, Board of Directors, Executive Director, Chief Financial Officer, outside investment firms, or others; as they relate to the Investment Policy.
    • Oversight responsibilities of the Finance Committee, Executive Committee, Officers, Board of Directors, Executive Director, Chief Financial Officer, outside investment firms, or others; as they relate to the Investment Policy.
