PCRS 2020 Annual Meeting Cancellation

Frequently Asked Questions

Unfortunately, it has become impossible to hold the PCRS 2020 Meeting due to public health guidance and institutional and state travel restrictions. Following the announcement of the cancellation of the PCRS 2020 Meeting, PCRS is sharing important details for attendees.

Will PCRS 2020 be postponed until a later date or rescheduled?
After many unsuccessful attempts, rescheduling is not an option. There is still much uncertainty amid the COVID-19 pandemic that made securing a new date challenging. We hope to move what we can from the 2020 program to the 2021 meeting.

When is the 2021 Annual Meeting?
The PCRS 2021 Annual Meeting will be held March 3 - March 7, 2021, at the Renaissance Esmeralda Resort & Spa in Indian Wells.

Will any content be made available?

At this time, there is no plan for content to be made available. We hope to move what pieces of the 2020 program we can to the 2021 meeting.

Will my registration be refunded?
2020 Annual Meeting registration fees will be fully refunded to all - attendees, exhibitors, and sponsors. Please allow us some time to work through the enormous amount of transactions. You will receive an email confirmation once your refund is complete. If you paid with a check and prefer a refund, you will receive a refund via check within 60 days of your request. PCRS also appreciates any support you can offer at this time and is accepting donations of registration fees. Please see the next question below for more information.

Scholarship recipients will receive additional updates and instructions in a separate email.

Can I just transfer my registration to the 2021 Annual Meeting?
PCRS is not able to transfer attendee or exhibitor registrations to the 2021 Annual Meeting. You have the option to receive a full refund of your paid PCRS 2020 registration OR you may donate your registration funds as a charitable contribution to PCRS, a tax-exempt 501(c)3 organization. Please see more information below regarding donating your registration fees.

2020 exhibitors will be given priority exhibit hall registration for the 2021 meeting.

How may I support PCRS during this challenging time?
You have the option to receive a full refund of your paid PCRS 2020 registration OR you may donate your registration funds as a charitable contribution to PCRS, a tax-exempt 501(c)3 organization. Donations will be used to ensure the longevity of the PCRS Endowment Fund and Scholarship Fund so PCRS can concentrate on rebuilding the 2021 program and supporting members. Please indicate your preference by April 15. If no preference is indicated, your registration will be refunded in full following April 15.

My abstract was accepted for presentation at the meeting - what happens now?
An official communication from our office was sent to each presenting author explaining the available options. Please respond to that email by Friday, April 24, and contact us if you have questions or have not received that email.

How do I cancel my hotel room reservation?
If you booked your hotel reservation using the PCRS hotel booking portal, your hotel reservation was canceled automatically. If you booked a hotel without using the PCRS portal, you will need to contact the hotel directly to cancel.

Will Faculty/Speakers be refunded for airline tickets?
Please contact your airline directly regarding airline ticket cancellations. If your airline will not refund or credit your airfare, please contact the PCRS office at [email protected].

PCRS will continue to keep you updated as further details are confirmed related to the cancellation of the 2020 Annual Meeting.
