 Session Description
  • This presentation will address the still-unfolding impact of the U.S. Supreme Court's June 2022 Dobbs decision reversing Roe v. Wade, including the court’s differing opinions, subsequently enacted state laws and regulations, lawsuits pending in both “Blue” and “Red states,” and a number of current and potential impacts—including on embryo storage, testing and disposition, early-pregnancy management, and surrogacy arrangements—for both patients and providers attempting to navigate IVF and ART treatment in a post-Roe world.

Session Objective
  • Recognize the legal issues raised by the US Supreme Court’s decision in Dobbs for ART providers and patients
  • Manage embryo disposition issues and options to protect patients’ reproductive autonomy
  • Identify how inconsistent state laws may impact surrogacy and other third-party, interstate ART arrangements
